I searched through this community, and I don't think anyone's requested/found this. (If I missed it, sorry, just point me in the right direction.)
Jim and Blair (pretty sure he's a detective, post TSbBS) go slogging through a deserted area in search of clues, and find a homeless dog taking care of a cat. They take them in, and upon noticing remarkable similarities to them personality-wise (dog=Jim, cat=Blair), Blair persuades Jim to adopt the pair. I think it was Jim/Blair by the end, and I'm pretty sure it is or was on 852 Prospect.
Any ideas?
