Looking for a specific fic

Ok I don't think I'm making this up but there was a story where Sentinels and Guides are known and I don't think there was huge inequality between them. Blair at one point in the fic barricades him and Jim in a hospital room which is something Jim should have done on natural instinct but doesn't so Blair did instead? I might be messing up the details a bit or meshing two stories together. I think they called the instinct nesting or something like that. Blair was also more possessive than most guides were in that universe I think. Im not sure.
