Dave/Terezi Fic Recs
I present to you my eight favourite Dave/Terezi fics to date, in order from least to most disturbing. (I was aiming for five but then things got out of control.) I love them all with limitless affection and unholy glee.

I am... not actually sure I can say anything better about this fic than the summary already does? *grin* Dave and Terezi have a baby, as only Dave and Terezi can. Blatantly ignores all Homestuck canon about Troll reproduction, BUT OH WELL.
2. The Career of His Humour
”He counts all of Time as his personal fiefdom. She is feared by things that don't have a word for fear. Neither of them has ever had a girlfriend before.”
This is actually the third fic in a series; the first two are Dave/Terezi and Rose/Kanya, respectivly, and are linked in the author’s notes. Those fics are excellent too - brilliant, even - and you absolutely must read them. But THIS fic. Oh, this fic. This fic is the pesterlog from the next morning. Dave is absolutely not loosing his cool. If you weren’t already convinced, then you should know that it features the line “The shit’s ontological status is, I fear, no longer in doubt.” :D
3. In Shitty Sidequests Veritas
“Dave and Terezi do a shitty sidequest and experience the Dark Nak of their Soul.”
Coolkid Dave Strider accidentally ends up in a sidequest that forces him to speak nothing but the truth. Do you have any idea how hard it is to be ironic when you can’t speak anything but the truth? A huge part of the value of this one is the WONDERFUL ILLUSTRATIONS.
4.Trollish for the Easily Excited
”YES OF COURSE I'M LANGUAGEANON.” (okay, not the most helpful author summary ever. *grin*)
This is actually a series of four stories, and only the last one is about Dave/Terezi. But do you know how much I care about that? EXACTLY NONE. It has Dave/Terezi, therefore it counts! More importantly, it’s language kink and language nerdery and in addition to Dave<3Terezi it has my other two favourite pairings, Rose<3Kanya and John<3Karkat. This fic. I love it. (I think the second and third story have been listed out of order, but meh.)
5. While We’re Here (Might As Well)
“Bodyswap, for round one of the Homestuck Shipping Olympics. With inevitable followthrough. This is actually not the strangest thing that has ever happened to Dave Strider. (Future Dave can suck it. Future Dave can contemplate Past Dave sucking it.)”
Dave and Terezi wake up in the wrong bodies. And. Then they react as only Dave and Terezi can. Pure, alien porn.
6. Five Weeks in May
“It's a dumb idea like most of Terezi's ideas. For one, they don't tell anyone they're going. For another, they've got no destination.”
Dave and Terezi do a roadtrip, AS ONLY DAVE AND TEREZI CAN. Beautiful, lyrical, and wins its rank in the disturbingness scale with lines like, She trails a claw up the length of his bare chest and whispers, “Cut you open here and hollow out your chest cavity. I’d lick up every drop of candy red suffering and then wear you like a cape.”
7. If Food Be The Music Of Love
”Feed a cold, starve a fever, and in the case of an ennui-filled Terezi Pyrope just quadruple caloric intake.”
So, there’s a certain type of children’s book that take great delight in lavish descriptions of food. I grew up on these books - The Chronicles of Narnia, The Tales of Redwall, the Little House on the Prairie, etc, etc. This fic remind me of those books... grown up, filtered through the mind of a fanfic writer, and re-produced (with no small amount of gleeful cackling) in a new, much twisted form. It somehow manages to be disgusting, adorable, and, um, a little bit of a turn on; which is what earned this fic its place on the disturbingness scale.
8. The Gutter Gallows
”Dave develops a passion for law enforcement. Terezi gets a case of the vapours.”
Except that Terezi doesn’t so much get a case of the vapours as, like, get incredibly turned on and say things like, “I want you to taste my blood on your lips and tell me that it’s delicious.” Also, Jade helps them dismember a body. SO YES. This is one of my favourite stories on the whole darn list, and also the definite easy candidate for most fucking disturbing yet frighteningly plausible Homestuck ever.
