Crossposting from Dreamwidth Question

Okay, so: Master Fanworks post, I want that to be at the top of my journal. In DW, easy, I make it a sticky. In LJ, easy I THOUGHT, I just state the date for some time in the far future. Which works fine until I try to crosspost from DW, wherein DW freaks out and won't make the post until I fix the date over on LJ. Anyone who regularly crossposts, do you know how to get around this? I am not loving the idea of having to manually change the date on my Fanworks post every time I want to post ANYTHING!
