What Next For Mr Darvill?

Oct 16, 2012 20:11

As a Friend of the Globe Theatre, I get to hear in advance about upcoming productions - and it might interest some of my list that the multi-talented Arthur Darvill will be a part of next year's season. Not on stage - he was Mephistophiles in "Faust" recently - but his music will be featured in a play called "The Lightning Child" based on Euripides' tragedy "The Bacchae." Che Walker will be doing the script, and it's a world premiere.

For those who prefer to stick with Shakespeare, the season will feature "The Tempest", "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Macbeth."

Public booking opens Feb 11th, 2013. If you can stump up the Friends' subscription (it's around £60.00 but worth every penny, as productions sell out incredibly quickly), you get a month's priority booking.

Is there no end to Mr Darvill's talents?
