Wh*re House Chapter 4
I'm pushing limits on how long a fic can survive without a name. I have to be. My English 11 teacher once told me, "No piece of writing can not have a title. Name everything; even stupid, ridiculous, pointless test essays, that will not help you in life at all." I didn't name my essay, and still got a perfect score somehow.... Anyway, I'm going to name this soon, I swear. Well, I hope. Ha! There, I named it!
Either way, I've been writing it, and here's the next chapter.

The girls stepped out of the cab at the clinic, paid their fare, and with a quick silent arguement between Minako and Rei, entered the establishment. They weren't there long; since the girls were young with no parents, they gave a urine sample and were told to come back in a week for the results. Minako then ordered the both of them on a strict curfew until the end of the week; no leaving the house after eleven at night and everyone in bed with lights out by midnight. There was never to be anymore street walking. They would all get day jobs if it was necessary.
Some where during Minako's rant on the girls' walk home, Rei spotted Usagi with her ex, Mamoru. She gave no indication that she saw them, but kept an eye on them nonetheless. She was successful until she saw Usagi pull Mamoru down for a kiss. At that moment, Rei seethed.
Not wasting a moment, Rei stalked angrily over to the kissing couple and roughly pulled them apart. Since glaring at Usagi would be useless, she glared at Mamoru instead. Her voice no louder than a whisper, she said, "What the fuck are you doing with Usagi? And what did you tell her to make her kiss you that way in public?" He opened his mouth; she shut it. "Don't fucking answer that Mamoru!" Her voice was slowly getting louder. She wasn't causing a scene yet, but if a distraction didn't come soon, she would be. "I'm not asking you for answers! I'm giving you a warning that I gave you before. Stay the hell away from us, especially her. Let me see you around her again and I'll have your balls hanging beside your head!" There it was. She was causing a scene.
Minako walked over casually as though there wasn't a grown man cowering in front of an unnaturally angry, and potentially dangerous fourteen year old girl, grabbed Rei by her waist from behind so her arms were pinned down to her sides, and whispered dangerously into her ear. People were still staring, but now they could hear nothing save the slight whimpers from Mamoru, and Rei's every breath.
"Rei, I will tell you this one time, so listen very fucking carefully. I am now in charge of everything. The house, the bills, the money, the girls, you, and Usagi." Rei shifted, but said nothing. She was in absolutely no position to complain; Minako could kill her in seconds without hesitation, and Rei knew it because Minako taught her to be able to do the same. "Leave Mamoru alone, or you won't have a curfew, you will be on house arrest. Unclench your fists, breathe normally, relax your muscles, and follow me. I still have to deal with you when we get home, so no more detours." Minako turned and walked away, not even shooting a second glance over her shoulder to see if Rei was doing what she said or even to see if she would attack. Hurting Minako would hurt Usagi, and Rei couldn't live with that. The only thing she could do now was obey the girl she now loved to hate.
Slowly, Rei unclenched her fists, slowed down her breathing, relaxed, and turned around and headed in the direction Minako had gone. She hated herself for relinquishing her power with no say in the matter, but she needed to live to protect Usagi and her wonderful smile. Rei would obviously do anything for Usagi; even take a hit to her pride.
Ami, who had figured out Rei's feelings toward both of the blonds a long time ago, and Makoto, whom Rei had told about her feelings during their shared time in the hospital, were both unsure whether Rei really was as calm as she appeared to be, or if Minako was really in danger. Either way, they both followed after Rei's retreating form just in case she was upset with the way Minako had dealt with her. Had they known what Minako had said to Rei, they would have run.
Minako slowed down enough for Rei to catch up with her, then pulled her in a direction she was sure the other girls wouldn't think they had taken. Rei was startled, but she was too used to dark alleys and strong men to be truly afraid. Minako wasted no time in sharing her mind. "Rei, I really do appreciate everything you've done, and everything you've given to help all of us. You took on things that no one our age should even know exist, and you know we all love you for it. Especially me.
"You don't know the whole truth about my past, and now isn't the time to tell you, but I've seen what you've seen and done more than you can imagine. You do have a vague idea about me, but I've only ever told Usagi about me. I'll probably tell the others soon. I doubt I'll ever be able to tell you. Don't take offense, please. You have to understand things the way I do in order to understand why I can't tell you about me. I couldn't dare to have you look at me differently, when you already dislike me."
"I don't dislike you, it's just-"
"I know what it is. I see the way you look at her. We all know how you feel, and I know I'll never live up to that. I won't even try to do so, but you have to know how she feels about you. You're her sister; nothing more, nothing less. She loves you, but not that way."
"I know that. I can't help how I fell about her, though!"
Minako ran her hand down the side of Rei's face gently and shushed her. "I know, sweetie. I know. Just like I can't help how I feel about you. Wouldn't you still want her to be happy? If she can't be happy with you, why don't you let her be happy with him?"
"I know how he is, Minako! He's only good for one thing."
"Are you sure it was him who wasn't into your relationship? It seems like you've been caught up over Usagi for some time now."
"I have, but- but- he's- he-"
"Rei. There's nothing wrong with him at all. It's been you all along, hasn't it?"

Ooooooohhhh more drama. I swear, I love these two! One more chapter like this, and then a few flashback chapters, I believe.
