Wh*re House Chapter 2

This still needs a name badly. I'm bad with names, though, so oh well. I have named this fic, albeit a little late.

The characters are identified in this, and it moves slowly from third person to dialog. It'll move farther from the former to the latter as the story progresses to the reveal of the initial speaker. I'm not even sure who that will be yet, though. Anyway, enough rambling, here's the fic.

Everyone was simultaneously relieved and anxious when she finally reached her breaking point and confronted the rest of the house, namely our main girl, on their actions. No one was sleeping, or leaving the room, for that matter, until she had said what she wanted to say, heard what she wanted to hear, and gotten everything that she wanted. They could tell when she got loud.

"Everyone in this house get down here and sit down! NOW!!!!" The tone in her voice allowed no space for arguement, and three girls filed down stairs and sat in their respective spots. The innocent one was missing, for once, and that was probably why this meeting was happening in the first place.

"Sit down, shut up, and do not interrupt me until I've finished saying what I have to say." All the girls sat in silence, too stunned to do anything other than what they were told for the time being. "Don't think I haven't known what has been going on in this house since even before I got here. I wondered for a while, but I was certain when our primary bread winner walked past me one night smelling like booze and sex." She kept her voice level, but her eyes were dripping with anger none of them had ever seen directed at them before. That kept everyone seated and silent for the time being. "I wanted to say something, but I didn't because I was grateful for what I was being given. I was also hopeful that some sense would be found eventually, especially after the fight that ruined much of what we owned. Not only was I wrong about the behavior changing, she brought another down to her level. Again, I held my tongue because I was hoping that the nighttime escapades would cease. Again, I was wrong.

"You all know I don't like to be wrong. You know better that I don't like to see you hurt. I like least to see you act stupidly because no one in this house is stupid. I hate to be treated as though I am ignorant, for I am not. I've refrained from speaking for entirely too long. That time is over.

"How dare you, all of you, do such a thing! The lies, the secrets, the sneaking! I thought we were all friends! You all kept this from me, as though I didn't know what was happening! I understand, Rei, that you only did what you thought you had to do to protect yourself and Usa, but you should have known you could talk to me about it! Mako, not only was the way you dealt with Rei wrong, you changed nothing! You made it worse by joining her! And Ami, you are the one person I would have expected to have talked some sense into their heads as soon as you knew! As a future doctor, how could you not have told them about the dangers they are putting their bodies in every time they go out?!" Tears formed in Ami's eyes, and at that, Minako recieved her first interruption. She should have expected it.

"Stop right there!" Rei tore into her with self-righteous fury. "You don't get to come in here and judge me! You don't get to judge any of us! Had it not been for Mako and me you would have not only had no where to stay, you would have gone hungry as well! How dare you tell me that I've been wrong for taking care of this household?! Would you rather we all die instead? Think of Usagi. Think of where she would be had it not been for what I've done! Do you think I've enjoyed it? Do you think I liked doing what I did? Do you?! I didn't! And I won't have anyone I've helped to care for talk about the sacrifice my life has become! Especially your self-righteous ass! Don't think I don't know about you Minako."

"What the hell do you know? I haven't committed favors for people who want nothing but one night in exchange for money!"

"Exactly. You didn't get any money in return for it."

Minako glowered for a moment before she marched over and hauled Rei up to her feet by her shirt. "For someone who hates to be judged, you sure are quick to pass judgement, harlot."

Rei swung, but Minako threw her back into her seat, effectively dodging the blow. "The two of you are getting tested for STDs today before Usagi comes home," she said gesturing to Rei and Makoto. "Get dressed, all of you. I'm not letting any of you out of my sight for a very long time." She recieved two very angry stares and a fearful glance in return. No one moved. "I will repeat myself one more time. Get dressed, all of you. NOW! Don't make me do something I might regret later. Go!"

Rei sat and defiantly scowled at Minako. Makoto and Ami started to get up, but were halted when Rei forced them back into their seats. "You don't run a damn thing here, Minako. I do. I pay the bills, I earn the money, I buy the food. You don't order anyone around unless I say you can. Since I said nothing of the sort, you don't tell anyone at all what to do. Especially not me."

"Rei, you talk big, but I know your weakness. I have your weakness on speed dial. I'd hate to know what the object of your affection would think if she knew what you really did at night. Every night you leave, she knows. She comes to me wondering where you could be going. I know the real reason you keep her so sheltered, Rei. You know that if she knew what things happened in the street at night, she would know what you do to feed her.

"You know she'd be disappointed in you and wouldn't eat the food you brought with dirty money. She might even leave you. You couldn't live with yourself if that happened.

"Don't make me make your life impossible, Rei. Get ready to go to the clinic. Now."

Rei wanted to strangle the blond, but she knew that Usagi was just as attached to Minako as she was to herself. Rei might be able to take Minako's life, but hurting Usagi would kill Rei as well. She could do nothing but comply at this point. That didn't mean she had to like it.

I love Rei Minako fights, and this fic will definitely have more of them. Minako will almost always win because she's Minako and she knows how to manipulate Rei in a way no one else can. There's a lot more going on between these two, though.
