So Thursday I graduated from community college. It was the longest, most pointless ceremony ever, ending in receiving an empty diploma folder since they mail them to us. In August.

Dad took me to the Black Duck for dinner, and it's still the same as it was years ago when I'd go there for brunch with Terry and the Cookes.

After dinner Brent and Alix scooped us up and we hung out for a bit. Brent took us home rather late, and I was pretty fast to go to bed.

Friday, Terry took me to lunch at the Tavern on 7, which was delicious. After, we went to verizon to get me a new phone, since the old one was acting up. I decided on the Droid Incredible 2, and so far I'm liking it a lot.

Brent, Alix, and Bo-bo came to pick us up, and get Cinder. We ended up putting it on my grandfathers bank card over the phone, because we had to pay half right then and there, and I only had $250 available. They brought Cinder out, and Dr. (Mr.) Duffy told me he seemed to be doing okay, and that if he had more problems to just bring him back in and he'd be put on some pills. He also told me to feed him more wet food for awhile, to help keep his system moist. We piled back in the car and brought him home.

I hugged him as soon as he came out of the carrier, and gave him a can of food, which he ate like he was starving. He looked so silly, as they shaved rings on both his front legs, and a patch on his neck. It actually looks like they started shaving the wrong leg, because one is less shaved than the other and doesn't go all the way around his leg.

I had left him eating, as he seemed okay and happy to be home. We went over to Alix's for D&D, and again didn't get very far in the campaign. Around 7 we stopped playing and got dressed for Pirates! The theater ended up being really crowded, and there were a lot of obnoxious high school kids. Which now that I'm a college grad seem to be even more annoying, apparently.

Over all I really liked the movie. I was actually glad whats-her-face and Leg-less weren't in it. It had a good amount of action, and still plenty of wonderful Captain Jack hilarity.

We ended up getting home around 1 AM.

I walked into my room to find Cinder on my bed. He got up and went right into the litter box. And then stayed there for a rather long time. He then went in and out of the litter box another 4 times in the first 20 minutes we were home. He went in and out pretty much all night.

So this morning I told dad, and then I called the vet and told them. I spoke to yet another Dr, whose name I can't remember. He said that I had to bring Cinder back in, they'd have to knock him out and put the catheter back in, and then keep him for another few days. He then said that if that didn't seem to clear the blockage, that they'd have to do surgery to remove his penis. What? Are you fucking kidding me? I called another vet and explained the situation and asked if I could bring him in for a second opinion, but they said they couldn't see him until Wednesday and he couldn't wait until then, so I'd have to take him back to his original vet. I started crying my eyes out and freaking out, thinking how the fuck am I going to pay for all this and what if they can't fix him. I called Alix and asked her and Jodie to bring us to the vet. I brought the carrier back into my room, and Cinder walked right up to it and sat down to wait for me to open it, then walked right in and laid down.

As soon as I walked in, Jeremy was behind the desk and knew I was there to drop Cinder off. Jeremy is a real sweetheart, and my favorite receptionist by far. They didn't mention anything about how much it would cost this time, or give me an estimate, so I'm really hoping they don't charge us for more than perhaps the cost of keeping him in the hospital. We all said good-bye to him and told him to get better this time.

I spent the rest of the day at Alix's, trying to keep my mind off it. We mostly just sat around the house, and then we went outside and started cleaning up an area in the woods that we want to turn into a little hang out spot for this summer.

And now we're all back here, watching Kindergarten Cop.

Tomorrow Terry is coming over to help me work up a resume. Her boss told her that I could have a job right down the street for the summer, helping out with the workshops. At $12 an hour, with the economy so shitty and Cinder's vet bills, I'd be a complete idiot to turn the job down, even if it's working with people like my grandparents. She made it seem like they need several people, so I'm going to see if Alix can get a job too.

We're all going to dye out hair at some point tonight. I asked Terry if that was a problem for the job at Star, and she said "nope!" So that's pretty cool.

DERPS, STOP READING OVER MY SHOULDERS. <3
