The Internet can't beat me!

Alix and I were at some sort of Mexican party. I think it was a birthday party. Jodie was there too. They were the only people I recognized. It was night, and the group of us went outside. We looked at a wall that had a cake drawn on it that said "Happy Birthday". We sang. Then it became day. In the clouds, I saw animals. Lots of animals. They were staring down at our gathering and I got this bad feeling. I turned to Alix. "What does it mean to see totems in the sky?" "Well...what totems?" I replied listing as many as I could. Fox, wolf, monkey, cow, I even saw a boarder collie-" she cut me off. "I don't know. I saw fox too though."

We all went back inside, and sat in a circle. There was a red remote control car in the center of the group. Cinder and Mogget were wandering around. Jodie started telling ghost stories, like we all usually do when we have a sleep over. I saw dogs. Little black terriers. But no one else seemed to see them. One sat on the end of the car, and the front end lifted. The dog vanished, but the car kept moving. People screamed and pointed. The car wobbled and bounced, and wheels vanished and reappeared. Alix didn't understand why people were screaming. I grabbed her head and pointed her face to the car. Jodie touched a hot iron to it, and the car sizzled and bubbled and turned a toxic looking green. Someone, the host of the party I assume, told her to take it with her. Jodie said no. But that laying it on a bed of iron shards would be enough.

There was a whistling. I looked out the open door, and there was an automatic hammer, like for train spikes. But it wasn't hammering spikes, it was knocking over old pillars, so it was swinging out to its side instead of up and down. I didn't see any people around. I asked "Are they using that...?" Jodie said something like "It doesn't matter, it's powered by steam and there's a cut off." The host said "well so does the car." The room changed. The view of the hammer was now through a wall that no longer stood, and the door we had been looking out of before was now ajar at my side and behind me. At the same time, the hammer fell over. The steam pressured built, and the giant hammer spike came shooting out right for us. I screamed at everyone to move. Jodie pulled Alix out of the way, and I flung myself out open door behind me. In the sky was a full Lion, roaring and running. I turned back into the house, and the spike had crashed into the wall right were Alix and I had been sitting. I started shaking while I stared at it.

Calmly, almost jokingly, Jodie said "Here comes the screaming." But, no one screamed. I feel to my knees beside the spike, and the head of rusted, warped metal sliced open my arm. My mouth was hanging open, all I could do was stare. There were brown, furry legs sticking out from under the massive spike. Like brown poodle legs, still twitching. I heard someone say, "We'll pay to have the dog put down" and then looked to the sky again. There were two lions now. I woke up with my heart pounding.

I woke up at nine and came down to post this, but my router was flashing red. It died. I spent three hours trying to fix it, and nada. Hijacked my uncles Ethernet cord to look around, and the general consensus? It needs to be replaced. I remember my uncle's old AT&T 2wire had stopped working after awhile, too.

I asked Faraone for help, and then I found my old wireless card. He found a place to download the driver for it, so I jumped back on my uncles Ethernet and downloaded it. Found the wireless password on the new crazy router and yay! I now have wireless. I almost had a heart attack though, because I went to pick up the router to look for the password, and it unplugged. That router also controls the TVs. The TVs froze. Shiiiit. It took forever to boot up again, and my grandfather was like oh what the fuck is this shit. :x

SO. Now that I have wireless, I will never. Sleep. Again. I can now be a good little girl and go upstairs at a normal hour. And still stay up and be a tard online. Perfect.

Now, on to doing the shit I said I was going to do today.

TO DO LIST:
Laundry
Ferret's laundry
Soak litter pans/water bottles/food dish
Change paper
Vacuum living room
Start tracing Oki pattern
Shower

EDIT: My dad has been fighting with AT&T over the phone for like an hour. They refuse to help us, because we can't tell them who our childhood super hero was. We gave them all the account information, but they refuse to do anything until we give them the answer to a question we don't remember being asked over a year ago. *slams head repeatedly into desk*

EDIT 2: After talking to four people, and spending almost 2 hours on the phone, we found out the problem. Because we now have fiber optics in the house for the cable, the DSL is not compatible anymore. Even though the DSL was on a separate account, it got over ridden. Any computer in the house now needs to be connected to either the new tower router, or through the wireless. So, I have to have wireless either way, now. So happy I didn't toss out that wireless card when it didn't work previously. Internet in my room now. Fuck yes. This is a horrible, yet wonderful thing. :3
