In general, Phoebe wouldn't have a problem with Cole helping a friend in need, and in fact would later be glad that he had been able to save Lindsey. After all, she was known for doing dangerous things that Cole and Anders really wished she wouldn't do all of the time.

Bel stepped into the cabin, exhausted from what should have been an easy shimmer. It'd been even harder this time than it had getting Phoebe and Anders to Fandom, but they'd made it safely.

He immediately saw Phoebe waiting for him. "...what?" he said.

Phoebe just stared at him for a moment, but only someone who knew her every mood would see the panic warring with the anger in her eyes.

"You. Left." Her voice was surprisingly steady.

"I left a note!" Bel protested.

Because that made it OK.

"A note. You left a note." Phoebe repeated. "My sister is gone, our friends are disappearing right and left and you left me here! I didn't know if you were coming back or if I would have to add YOU TO THE DAMN BOARD!!"

"It's not like I planned on it," Bel said. "Did you want me to just leave Lindsey there?"

"YOU LEFT ME!" Phoebe yelled, tears pooling in her eyes. "You left me and all I had was a note!"

"Phoebe," Bel said, pulling her into his arms. Trying to, at least. "I'm sorry! The last thing I wanted to do was scare you."

It was a really good thing that Phoebe wasn't the type to try to manipulate someone by crying -- even if it would probably come in really handy sometimes.

She stepped right out of his reach. He'd have to do better than that right now.

"You promised that you wouldn't leave me again and I know what's happening out there and how lucky we were to get here when we did!"
