Wow, apparently, I'm almost getting used to waking up at 4:15am each Saturday.
Anyway, the class is getting more interesting. Or, to use a better term, more difficult.
One of the fundamental tenets of improv, either short-form or long-form, is that you aren't always in control. If you pretend to hold a box, and your partner asks you, "Hey, can I hold your baby?", guess what: it's a baby now.
You have to be ready to at a moment's note to drop whatever you were thinking, and accept what is given to you.
For someone who's trained to "resolve issues are quickly as possible", this is a difficult thing to unlearn. At least for stage.
But it's an impressive way to see the world.
Oh, and I really suck at pretending I'm a bad guy when we play Mafia.
