More hilarity from my oh so depressed bipolar roommate. To set the scene, I'm in the bedroom folding my clothes. He's in the living room watching TV. All of the sudden he yells out "Goddamn fucking market! How am I supposed to fucking retire with that?!" Which is honestly too ridiculous for words. I mean, the guy is 23 years old. Retirement should be about 42 years in the future. He doesn't even have a job lined up for after graduation. Hell, he doesn't even have basic personal hygiene habits. There are other things he should be worried about! Granted, ideally you should start saving for retirement in your early twenties so the whole process isn't a pain, but come on, buddy. Get a grip.
