The Semester of Reuben took a hit last weekend when I got an email from GW Housing saying somebody new was moving into the room. He showed up on Saturday. Naturally he's a big, smelly guy who snores loudly when he sleeps (which is from 5 AM until noon or so) and talks to himself in the bathroom. He's also likely on anti-depressants. I could tell just by being around him that he's super weird and has little self-esteem. After seeing the pill bottles, I had to know what he was on. Instead I found a letter from his doctor to the school that said he was hospitalized last year for psychiatric treatment, during which time he was basically unable to function. The guy fucked up a good thing I had going, which didn't exactly endear him to me in the first place. Now I'm also worried that he might snap at any moment and kill himself. Sigh, goodbye privacy which I so enjoyed.

Also last weekend was the Georgetown Admitted Students Reception, which was really fun. They've actually got a beautful campus there at the Law Center and the school seems nice. Highlight of the presentation was the panel with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Lady Brenda Hale, of the British House of Lords. Fascinating.
