Lame Haunting
I am actually starting to think my house is haunted. But not in the kewl residual way, more like a lame haunting. For example at exactly 1:40AM on 5/19/10 (about a minute ago) I just heard guitar strumming, it was like three chords and it sounded like it came from the sofa right next to me. There is no speakers in the whole room. And there is only one guitar in the house and it's far away and there is no-one even on that side of the house to strum it. So there is no guitar on this end of the house at all, the only person who is awake is within my sight (although too far away to have hear it). OK and I also have this closet door in my room that vibrates and quite loudly I might add. The air will be off, there will be nothing touching the door and yet it is vibrating, you can touch it and it still keeps on going, then you finally open it, there is nothing to cause it, and it won't do it again for a while. But it happens like once every three days or so. It's very odd... And I keep hearing little sounds, like crackeling or moans. I know that I have cats, so most noises I try to explain off or blame on them. But like just now I heard a painful, desperate, agonizing, male moan come from my room, yet it was soft, like the kind of moan you would not hear more than a few feet away. I am about 30 feet away from all others in the house and the only person even in that direction is sound asleep and a quiet sleeper at that. It was definitely more like a moan than a snore, but it only lasted a second or two. That was definitely not a cat, so where does that leave me? I guess with a lame haunting. Sometimes I do get the feeling that I'm not alone, but that could just be me being a crazy romantic at heart.
