Well I started this day going to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch into space. Zeric and I drove across the state and we were within 5 miles from the Kennedy Space Center when the T-5:00 and we knew we would not make it to the beach. So we gave up along with the rest of the people on road and we pulled over and we had an OK view, we were close enough to hear the sonic boom, but it was way after we could see the shuttle launching... the main lesson of this trip "We need a Sunpass" (Sunpasses are a toll-pass and you do not have to stop at every toll-booth). If we had skipped even one toll we could have made it to the beach. We still had a great time. It was amazing to see yet another launch. It was kinda of a sad launch, since it is the last Atlantis flight (only two shuttle launches left). It will be very sad to see the shuttle launch program come to an end. I will still go see rockets launch but I grew up watching us launch Space Shuttles and I guess I never thought they would ever stop. I do understand the shuttles themselves are getting pretty old, well I hope there will be more even if they come from the private sector... Go Atlantis!!
