So did you ever get caught up with all those emails?? I for one was happy to have a note from you. Haven't you just been the busy gal... and even taking some time for yourself. Gotta love that. So your house must be taking shape, all spic and span. Hurray!!
Do your kids have specific school supply shopping lists supplied by the school?
LOL - I can never seem to catch up on e-mails... they just keep a'comin'...
*starting* to feel good, look good.. but quite a ways to go.. there's been a good 4 years of *neglect* and *kids* that have made things chaotic...
yeah, the school sends out a list of supplies, but with her in grade 7, the list is pretty generic (pencils, erasers, pens...) but I will need a french/english dictionary (as she's in french immersion) and a scientific calculator... and he's in grade 9, so his list is even more generic.. binder, paper, pencils...
But you must just be thrilled that you decided to do this purge and actually ARE doing it!!!!
Years ago when french immersion came to the seperate school in my town I ran into a friend with her kindergarten aged daughter. The little girl was SOOOOO excited about school. I said to her, so you are in school now, isn't that exciting. You will learn so much. She says, I am going to learn all about french perversion. Well her mother was horrified and I was laughing so hard I just couldn't stop myself. The poor little gal had no idea what she has said wrong. So when I see french immersion........
After my bed time prayers, I lay in bed counting all the blessings I have. Guess what?? I NEVER get through my list as I always fall asleep before I can!! I am even learning to look at snow as being a blessing....which, for anyone who really knows me, knows that for most of my life, I have cursed the snow. Now, I look out of my window with a mug of spiced, hot, cider and enjoy soft music. Very calming!! So, yes, thank you for the reminder!! *hugs*
I honestly believe that even the bad things that happen to us can be considered blessings. These blessings teach us lessons that we have not learned before.
How beautiful to see good things in life. I am basically upbeat and happy but have not thought to count my blessings as I fall asleep. Going to do that tonight!
