Dragon's World And Etc.

Today was a fun day out with Mom. ^^ The general plan was that we were just going to go to the Chapters in Barrie. WHOOT. BOOKSTORE. So it was going to be fun anyway... but we ended up wandering around the Walmart there (which is about twice the size of the one here), the huge fish-and-aquarium-supply-store, and then out for lunch as well.

So, the first thing we did was go to the aquarium store; it's this huge square building that sells pretty much anything you could ever need for an aquarium, including a couple hundred different kinds of fish. The thing that I love about that store though, is that right in the middle of it they have a 50,000 gallon aquarium with black tip sharks in it. >^-^< *squees* I could watch the sharks swimming around in there for hours and not get bored...

I just got some algaecyde in there, since I'm still tinkering with my tank to get it running smoothly. Eventually I'll go back and get some fish. Muaaaa... I want those sharks... *_*

After that we went to the bookstore... and I spent way too much money. Bah. Mom got five books (all new authors). So here's my list of stuff I got:

--"The Cook's Encyclopedia of Japanese Cooking" (Kazuko Emi)
--"CSI: Serial" Graphic Novel (Max Allan Collins, Gabriel Rodriguez & Ashley Wood)
--"CSI: Binding Ties" (Max Allan Collins)
--"Gravitation" Graphic Novels #1 & #2 (Murakami Maki)
--"Deus Vitae" Graphic Novel #2 (Fujima Takuya)
--"The Book of Alchemy" (Francis Melville)

Ehehehe... ^.^;;

The alchemy one was on the discount racks, and I just spotted it randomly when I was walking past... you should have seen how fast I snatched it up! XD Then I bounced and squealed to myself because I was so excited about finding it...

Looking at the manga at bookstores is really frustrating, though. They always have every volume except the ones I'm looking for. =_=;; I did find the second volume of Deus Vitae, but they didn't have the volumes of Mahoromatic, Lament of the Lamb or Tokyo Babylon. I hummed and hawed over the first couple of volumes of Fruits Basket, but ended up deciding against it, since I'm trying to keep from starting up more series until I've finished one or two of the ones I'm already reading.

That being said, I know I got the first two volumes of Gravitation. >^-^;; But I don't count that, since I've already got the anime, so I'm already into that series... :p lol.

As for the CSI GN... *squees some more* >^-^<

RIGHT!

After Chapters, we skipped over to Walmart. Mom bought two purses because she liked them, and I got a pair of pants (because I only had three... -_-;;) and a new DVD; Dragon's World: A Fantasy Made Real. Dude. How cool is this? Dragon's World is a documentary about dragons, done in the same style/animation of Walking With Dinosaurs (so they look REAL!), as if dragons actually existed! Spanning from the time of the dinosaurs (when dragons competed with carnivorous dinosaurs for prey and territory) to the middle ages, where the last family of dragons made a final stand against mankind and their dragon-slayers!

Awesome, I say. ^__^

Yeah... spent a lot of money on stuff today, but I don't care. I shall now go and revel in my new books/GNs and watch my Dragon's World DVD...
