The stupid continues. We had the amalgamation referendum yesterday. My municipality voted 58% in favour and the municipality that (now) dare not be named voted 68% against. I can only stand so much stupidity in one day and I've just used up my quota on Facebook. The only way to ensure that the composition of a citizen's assembly is 'random' is to choose people randomly and then compel participation, rather like jury duty.
