[Ah, Valentine's Day. Or rather, the day after Valentine's Day, because Robert was far too mopey (over a certain ex-partner of eight years ago and some certain feelings that have been bothering him as of late) and awkward to actually try to talk to anybody during the actual day. Plus he was attempting to make the most of the advice he had gotten...

I am at my home right now. [Screw the space-time continuum!] That is Community Building Three, Floor One, Room Three - if you're curious as to exactly where.

Okay, I'll be there soon!
[Sure enough, in a few minutes, there'll be a gentle knock on Robert's door.]

... Man, Vivi's so very small. Robert realizes that it's because she's quite young. Still, he's not used to seeing people even shorter than he is.] Ah, hello, Miss Aislinn.

[He really does like this little girl, and wants her to feel like some men can inspire things other than fear.]

[She's still slightly nervous, and maybe a little paranoid; taking the box, she'll open it right away and nom on a random chocolate. Ooh, strawberry creme filling. She smiles widely, breaking out into mini-giggle fits again.] It was really good! Just like I said!

I am glad you enjoyed it. [He smiles again - Vivi reminds him, in a strange way, of his own childhood.] Would you like anything to drink, Miss Aislinn?
Reply
Sure! Do you have any tea or hot chocolate?

I know there isn't much here, but feel free to make yourself at home. Comparitively, anyway.

Hydroponic...? Well, hydro means water, so... Wait, you grew plants in just water on your world? How does that work?
[Oh, wow, that tea really does smell good already. Vivi's just going to find a place to sit and nibble on her chocolates while she waits.]

[Eventually the tea finishes brewing and Robert pours some of the warm liquid into a cup for Vivi. He takes it over to where she's sitting, and places it on the small table in front of her. There's also some sugar and milk if Vivi wants to use either.] Here you are... please enjoy. [He makes himself a cup as well.]

Oh, I think I get it! It sounds pretty useful... is the hydroponic stuff easy to do? I kinda want to try it. [She'd totally grow some flowers with it. Sipping the tea now; ooh, that is a nice flavor. Well, whatever flavor manages to struggle out from underneath the milk and sugar, that is.]

[He looks over at Vivi, noting how her tea looks - it reminds him of Helios, almost, what with how much sugar she put in it.] Are you perhaps wanting to be a farmer or florist yourself, at some point?

Well... maybe? I like flowers, and this hydroponic stuff sounds really cool... I wanna try growing some flowers for mom with it! If you figure out how to do it here, tell me, okay?

Certainly. I would be glad to show you, Miss Aislinn.
You seem to be on such good terms with your mother. [There's a bit of a wistful tone in Robert's voice. He hasn't seen his parents in a long, long time - and, if he's honest with himself, he doesn't really want to.]
