So, after nearly 48 hours and 4 hours of sleep, I've just checked into my hotel in Goa. I'm going to make a valiant attempt to just stay up until a normal time tonight, because I think a nap at this point (4:45pm local time) will just screw me up worse.
The trip was quite the odyssey, with far too many strange, annoying, or both incidents to name easily. The hotel and my room are quite nice, and totally removed from my experience of India thus far. I missed all the talks today, but there are some good ones scheduled for tomorrow. My poster presentation is Thursday evening. Apparently, all the meals are included in our stay, but I'm going to try to venture out at least a few times to sample some of the local restaurants. Too tired to think of much else right now, but I'll sign off with a few thoughts.
Indian Airlines. Best...airline...food...evar.
Blue tarps. The roofing material of choice near the Mumbai airport, as far as I can tell.
Dehli smells just like you've heard it does.
Sadly, the British Empire failed to leave a tradition of proper queuing in India.
More later, with pictures.
