Translated Maimi's blog post from
April 7, 2017. I'll admit that I cried a little reading about her talking about °C-ute's last single getting second on the Oricon charts (which is an amazing feat still!!!), and how thankful she is, but I wish we could have pushed even harder to get them to first place. It's especially frustrating because there was nothing that I really could have done personally because foreign sales don't count towards Oricon. :c
Hello!
About our single that was released on March 29th, “To Tomorrow/ Final Squall/ The Curtain Rises”…
We managed to get second place on the Oricon charts ♡♡♡
Really, thank you everyone. (;ω;)♡
The feeling of “I want [°C-ute] to get first place!! (>_<)” made us happier than actually having that happen. The members of °C-ute all said, “We’re so content♡,” [when we thought about that]. We’re really full of gratitude.
Everyone worked so hard to spread knowledge about our songs, and as a result, [this single] reached the largest amount of people and was listened to by more people than ever before. It’s something we are very happy about.
We’ve released so many singles up until now, and each time many people have supported us.
Thank you for everything up until now. ♡(*´ω`*)
Moving on! Tonight at 22:00, “°C-ute: Yajima Maimi’s My Me ♡ Maimi” will go on air.
