i found someone's wallet on the curb outside of the grocery store today and came home to look up his phone number. i called him and arranged to meet at the bank next to the grocery store a block from my house. i returned it to him and he gave me all of the cash that was in the wallet, a total of six dollars. it's only six dollars but i can't help

you shouldnt feel awkward. your intentions were pure and you already refused the money. wouldnt you do the same thing if you were him? i would definitley try to show my appreciation. its only $6; it would cost at least that much to replace one bank card, let alone a license, etc!
if you still feel weird about it, buy a $6 toy/book/whatever and donate it to a childrens hospital/needy family/whatever for christmas!
