i found someone's wallet on the curb outside of the grocery store today and came home to look up his phone number. i called him and arranged to meet at the bank next to the grocery store a block from my house. i returned it to him and he gave me all of the cash that was in the wallet, a total of six dollars. it's only six dollars but i can't help but feel really awkward about it. i didn't return it to him to make a profit, i returned it to him because it was the right thing to do. he gave me the money and i said, no really you don't have to do that. he said, no take it i wish i had more, and he put it in my hand.

i can't help but feel really weird, i didn't want any money. i know i am over-analyzing this and being really neurotic but please help me feel less awkward!
