Wildrose? Glad I'm not Albertan anymore.

I've been watching the politicking in my former home province with some small measure of curiousity. Seeing what's going on with the Wildrose party (Really, guys? Claiming the name of a provincial icon does not mean you represent the whole province), I'm honestly glad I left when I did. Tax meddling? Small government rhetoric? Conscience rights? Religion and profession should not mix. If you can't do your job for religious reasons, do not do the job, don't half-do it and cite an invisible friend for an excuse to trample on someone else's health, or dick with taxes needlessly, or stamp on gay rights. I think I have a better name for them. The Rose-hip Tea Party.

They almost make me embarrassed to have been Albertan once upon a time.
