Proof positive that the Conservative government has no clue what the Internet is.

Vic Toews, I need to remind you of a few basic points as others have before: Anonymous isn't actually doing anything illegal here. They've stated (In an ominous way, sure), that they plan to release openly available information. That if you want to restrict the privacy of others, you'll get precisely what you expect of them. And little more. No breach of security has occurred, no actual violation of any sort occurred (Unless spooking people has somehow become a federal offense), and no actual harm beyond dark satire, that you seem to have missed the point of entirely.

There is no one person, or organization, or magical unicorn overlord behind Anonymous. At some time or another, everyone is Anonymous. Even you, in some twisted way, in those rare moments when you actually do crusade for the people's heartfelt interests. It's a fundamental artifact of the collective consciousness. Individuals come together with an idea to unite under, and they act. And when the cause of the banner is done with, they disperse or reorient, like a truly organic, guidance-free flock of parts in a greater whole.

The Anons that posted such a video are probably an entirely different cell from say, the group that might actually release data, or the researchers seeking it, or hypothetically, a group of protestors that might arrive wearing the V mask. Anonymous is not a structured group. It's the collective consciousness of every human being united under an idea, and your voting base at its most raw, uncontrollable best and worst.

Listen, Vic Toews, and listen carefully to what they have to say. You shouldn't be finding it narrow-mindedly threatening and lash out against things you simply fail to grasp, you should look for the enlightenment the message intends to bring.
