FAUX LOVE PROBLEMS!
So, I work in a liquor store, and a few shops down from us is a sushi place. The sushi place is cool, it makes a vegetarian bento with inari and stuff so sometimes I buy it. There is this guy that works there, and over time we've developed friendly 'Hey how are you?' banter. Then we started swapping things, like he'd give me sushi for free, and I'd give him some beer. So now whenever I walk past I have to stop and talk to him. Which is great, because he's always so happy. He's basically an anime character in real life - big smiley face, but also quite attractive - black thick rimmed glasses, broad shoulders and quite tall for an asian, haha.
However, problems arose today. I walked past the sushi place, it was pretty busy so I didn't stop to say hi. I decided to get a lentil salad (cue hippy jokes) at Relish, little salad/deli place further down. Usually that place is staffed by tiny, cute asian girls, but instead I go to order and this tall scruffy looking white guy is there. So I order, and he's so lovely and nice and smiles at me a lot and so I smile back a lot. I was upset when I had to hand my money over, because it meant my little interlude with this scruffy guy wearing an apron would be over.
So now I am torn. I am torn between my original sushi love, and this new apron-wearing salad contender.
