[The dream starts out this time with Tsukasa sitting in a bed with white sheets, staring out a window at a forest. That woman's voice that kept haunting his dreams floated through the air.
'Tsukasa... do you know the story of the little mermaid? It's a fairy tale, by Hans Christian Andersen... about a mermaid princess who receives graceful legs, but gives up her beautiful voice in exchange, all just to see the prince. She was foolish to wish to leave the sea, don't you think?'
"Ah..." Tsukasa bows his head. "The prince married someone else, didn't he? So... maybe she never should have left at all."
'The mermaid disappeared into bubbles of light, never to see the prince or her family again. You left me, Tsukasa. All to go back to that ludicrous world.'
"I know." Tsukasa wipes tears from his face. "I know..."
'You can never find happiness away from me. Why go back to a world that only causes you pain?'
He doesn't answer, just looks out the window, which is suddenly open. A bluebird flies through, and lands on Tsukasa's bedpost. He holds a hand out to it, and it hops on. He smiles a little, stroking its head.
Suddenly, the bird spreads its wings and flies back towards the window... but now there's a pane of glass in it. It smacks into the window and falls to the floor. Tsukasa scrambles out of bed and over to the bird's body, and it's already gone still.
'You can't fly away, little bird. Even though you've woken her up... you're still caged.']
[Tsukasa doesn't say anything, just rolls over and shuts off the Dreamberry.]
