YAY for another week over of Clinical Placement! =)
I'm nearly there! wootoot.
AND, today's my day off! YAY!..
Though, it's pretty pointless coz I'm stuck in the VU Library on my day off, trying to do my assignments (AND NOT EVEN GETTING ANYWHERE).
I was pumped, motivated and ready to roll-- and then HE comes back. And it's like WTH.
This is INSANE. ARGHH.
ANYWAYS, let's try to move on ey?

This week has been pretty much the same as last, what makes it SUCK is that I'm sick at the mo.
GAY.
So on TOP of my stress for exams and assignments, my headache is 100000x WORSE. =(

anyways,
MONDAY:
It was a change of placement- just for a day, just to make our lives more difficult.
I ended up going to HOPS (homeless something something) and the funny thing about it is that-- I didn't see any homeless people!
LOL
I got at Saltwater Clinic in Footscray at about 8.45AM starting at 9AM, and no one was there.
So I waited outside the office for the receptionist to actually look my way and let me in.
She eventually did, after I held my student ID up (lol.. I think she thought I was a CLIENT hahaha)
Then, I got lead into an IN-SERVICE they were having.. So I was like " uhmm.. okay... "
And my buddy for the day was like "yeah that's good coz I'll be seeing some people who aren't comfortable with students around.."
So I spent my day doing "Basic Life Support", "Early Warning Signs", "Documentation" and "Hand Hygiene"... All of which I had already previously done in our lectures & tutes.
During which, the in-service had massively long breaks and I, being the shoppaholic that I am-- walked around footscray looking in stores and what not. lol.
Overall, good day.
TUESDAY:
Back at CATT.
I felt at home again lol.
Now, usually I'm there at least 10mins early-- but I slept in. lol
I think I came about 10mins late and when I walked in-- everyone was already sitting down and going through handover.
As soon as that office door opened I was taken away by this guy-- sitting across the table, staring back at me with a smile.
LOL..
It was love at first sight! Nah, I'm just kidding hahaha.
I spent all of handover just wondering who he was and what he was doing there. I kept thinking whether he was a staff member that I hadn't met yet (though, I was pretty sure I'd met everyone). Or if he was a student of some sort.
After handover, he intro-ed himself to me...
HIM: "Hi, I'm Kade"
ME: "Hey *SUPER SMILE*, Kristine =)"
And then Noel (his preceptor) said "He's a Grad Student.."
I think I started blushing at some point haha. I dunno lol.
` His name is KADE (I think his last name starts with W or somethin lol) and he's our Occupational Therapist Grad Student. And he's there for 2weeks.
And then it all made sense to me as to why I saw Jasmine (our previous O.T Grad) at Saltwater Clinic on the monday. =)
Then another highlight was that I went to a cafe in Laverton with my preceptor - Des (for the day) and our doctor to do some assessments.
At this cafe- the person taking our orders was a guy and the awkward-est thing happened..
GUY: What would you like?
ME: uhmm.. a small cappucino and a hotdog thanks.
*goes off to make it*
DES: *whispers to me* HE LIKES YOU!
ME: what?!! no he doesn't!!
DES: he's been trying to get your attention since we got here..
ME: no wayy..
GUY: do you want butter in your hotdog?
ME: yes please.
GUY: sauce?
ME: yes please...
GUY: it's eat here yeah?
ME: yep
GUY: i'll cut it in half for you
ME: thanks..
LOL.. and when we got back to the office, Des told everyone about how that guy liked me coz he offered me butter and sauce on my hotdog AND CUT IT IN HALF, when Des got this dry roast beef sandwhich... LOL WTF?
WEDNESDAY:
Saw Kade again, smiling back at me as I walked through the door, 5mins late LOL.
Sat in a corner of the room coz there was no space at the handover table and I could swear that he kept looking at me! muahahahaha.
Unfortunately, we're never allowed to go to visit clients with each other coz there's only ever allowed one student with each team. DAMN. lol
Went out with Aroon and Steve.
Pretty boring. Got subway for lunch lol.
Kade sat next to me during afternoon handover and put his arm on my chair! LOL woooot
THURSDAY:
pretty boring.
lots of home visits.
I actually got told to ask a question this time! instead of just observing LOL.. dang you Natalie!! LOL
I had a change of preceptor because James is never on when I am. So now, my preceptor's name is HAMISH.
and he's such a laid back guy like dammmn. lol
I didn't see Kade coz he was on afternoon shift with Noel, and I had debrief at 1 back at Werribee Mercy Hospital. GAY!
FRIDAY:
And now here I am! DAY OFF so NO KADE.
And, I'm trying to start assignments and not succeeding. ARGH..
come on camie! FOCUS damn it!!
