There and Back Again - A Hypnotists Tale
Here's my NGH Convention update:
One very kind friend has gifted me with $250. My first response, and a delightful surprise.
One very kind friend (also looking for work right now, so very strapped for cash!) has invested $10 so I can be even more helpful to him when he is employed and able to work with me again.
One very kind friend has purchased all 6 of my pre-recorded sessions (2 she is planning to gift to a co-worker to stop smoking) and a personal introductory hypnosis session - $50 more.
One very kind friend has offered me enough Frequent Flyer miles to get me there and back again (hence the title of the post). That ticket is on "hold" until 11:59 Thursday, July 9, giving me a few more days to raise the remaining funds before deciding whether or not to use it. I'll be flying in on Monday the 3rd (first seminar doesn't start until Wed. the 5th, giving me a whole day to knock around the Boston area), and flying back home on Wed. the 12th (the last seminar I want to take is only on Mon. the 10th, giving me a whole other day to knock around the Boston area).
$310 in cash is ALMOST enough for the Stage Hypnosis seminar (the fee is $325) or would cover two days of the seminar (Fri. and Sat. are $145 each, Sun. is $115) or one day of the seminar and the HypnoClutter(tm) seminar offered post-convention. But I'm going to be up there 8 whole days - it seems a shame to ONLY attend two days of learning!
What can you do to help? The Frequent Flyer miles were totally out of the box - maybe you've got a few extra nights at a timeshare somewhere close to Marlborough, MA (my sister offered 6 nights in her timeshare, but sadly it's nearly two hours from the convention site, and 4 hours a day in the car is NOT my idea of productive time) to save on my hotel expense? Maybe you've got some unused restaurant gift cards you'd be willing to share? Maybe you know someone in the Boston area who is willing to loan me a car for the week to save on my rental car expense?
Can you spread the word to your friends and family who might be willing and able to help out?
