Winter Wonderland?
My daughter S gets kind of blue in the winter, maybe seasonal depression. Any way she said she thinks that the holidays would be less depressing if people didn't take all the decorations down so abruptly the day after the first of the year. She plans on leaving some lights and garland up all winter. Maybe she's on to something.
She invited me to go shopping with her for decor at KMART and Target. Yipes, they have a lot of stuff. I didn't get anything as I have been collecting stuff for years but she spent a ton of $. She's starting from scratch. I did notice though that she was buying things in a color theme and so I questioned her about her choices. "Very conventional choices S. I'm surprised your not getting more off beat kinds of things." They did have some weird colors of things and even some ornaments of lizards and frogs. She said that now, she is grown up and so her tastes have changed. I smiled to myself. She really is grown up.
I hope she invites me to her winter wonderland for coffee when it's finished. I'd like to be cheered in the middle of winter by a magical atmosphere.
