OK, so...I don't get it...
Was there something wrong with Persona 4?
The characters seem alright; a pretty-boy hero (expected), his best friend (and possible closet fag), a green-jacketed tomboy, her semi-traditionalist hottie best friend, a sexually-confused delinquent, a former pop idol along the same vein as Athena Asamiya (except she doesn't fight), a moe detective, and...Teddie.
The story was interesting enough; people get pushed into TVs and killed by suppressed human thoughts given form. One of the characters takes it personally and decides to investigate. The rest is a bunch of high schoolers trying to solve a murder mystery. It's like Scooby-Doo meets SRS BSNS.
All the social links seem likable enough, too (Hello, Nurse forealz).
So...I don't get it. What's the problem?
