Today promises to suck. Rad knows it’s a juvenile word to use, but he can’t think of anything else that properly expresses his distaste better. He’s never met this Belal before. Not even in his own world, though when he was little the man’s father made a bid to remove him from Shin Makoku. Said that Rad belonged to the humans because his father was human. Man didn’t have the power to go through with it, but he came to visit once, when he was old and dying ( ... )

The door to his bedroom is still open, providing him with a sliver of a view of Yozak's sleeping form, and it's there that he looks, despite the fact that the sound of something breaking comes from the opposite direction. The redhead has not stirred and Conrad's hand strays down to his side to rest on the hilt of his sword. Matrim is on guard duty right now. He would have not allowed just anyone to waltz in. Besides, it's still too early for all hell to break lose ( ... )

Rad is in the middle of contemplating the destruction of the cup and if he can sneak out without Yozak coming back and wringing his neck when he realizes that he’s not alone, and rather its not Yozak looking at him, but his Double himself.

Conrad doesn’t look as bad as he thought he would, but then, it’s actually been some time that Conrad has not been there. At least, that’s that he understood from the letters Conrad sent him that he didn’t bother replying to. Something about a beach. His eyes look a little older ( ... )

The comment earns a quiet snort of laughter, but there's little humor in it. He lightly closes the door behind him and enters the sitting room, moving to sit on the couch. The collar in his pocket presses into his thigh when he sits. "I've gotten pretty familiar with figments of my imagination and you're not one of them." His voice is soft, mindful of the sleeping man in the other room. "Besides, I'm up for the rest of the day now ( ... )

Rad glances suspiciously at the now closed door, his only escape closed off, and then back at Conrad. He seems almost amused. Why is Conrad amused? “Missed me,” Rad repeats, not believing him. People didn’t miss people like him.

“I see. You missed me. So that why you rushed back so quickly.” He can’t stand still, and rather than sitting next to Conrad, he paced slowly in front of the fireplace like a lion in a cage. No, he shouldn’t get annoyed with Conrad. It wasn’t his double’s fault… Conrad wasn’t in charge of babysitting him like he was a toddler. He didn’t even have a babysitter as a toddler.

“Forget it.” He sighs and rubs his forehead. “Its early, and I invaded your room.” Conrad’s invitation went unanswered. He didn’t know how to accept it anyway. And by staying around he only made more of an ass of himself.

Look, Conrart, whether or not you particularly like me or Conrart, your twin and I have decided we are attached to you. Whatever the circumstances, you're a Weller and there aren't really so many of us ( ... )

Conrad has to resist the urge to cross his arms in response Rad's immediate, sharp reply. He recognizes both the other man's words and his own reaction for the defensive measures they are. Still, his knee ceases its swaying and he watches the other brunet in silence as the man continues to prowl ( ... )

He loves being the cause of even the slightest discomfort. Every little change in his double's demeaner is a point for him.

No... no it's not.

The way Conrad bends his head to hunt for the slivers of china that he broke, the way his voice gets softer, his admiance to not being in the best of shape... it doesn't mean he wins. Just that he harmed someone again.

Like with Alford, stupid human that he is. He keeps hurting those that for some reason want to be closer to him.

He... doesn't understand it. Why Conrad? They fought.... one evening, curled up by the fire... it doesn't change anything.

"No one needs to see a lot when it comes to Yozak. You two are very loud neighbors." He makes a face, but does stand down a little. "Maybe really I should thank you for coming back on your own. I did threaten to come get you myself if you died out there. Of course, I was a woman then. As you can see, I've gotten over that."
