[Day 52, 6:45 AM - Conrad and Yozak's Rooms]

He wakes in the morning when a beam of sun falls across his face, peeking in from a crack in the curtains that hadn't been fully closed last night. Yozak swats at it, annoyed, but the sun can't be deterred that easily. He groans; even with his eyes closed, that damn sunbeam feels like it's piercing into his skull. Or maybe that's just the damn hangover from last night party. That would explain his restless sleep. His dreams last night had been odd beyond odd: dreams about milky blue oceans and exotic black mountains, and a fierce gargoyle that had chased him across the map of Shin Makoku.

Yozak gives his head a firm shake, trying to drive out the disturbing dream and the remnants of his headache. Maybe that's why he had such strange dreams: two parties in two days is a lot, and he's not as young as he used to be. Maybe it's time to think about slowing down.

...maybe later. Like...in a few years or so.

Eyes still closed, Yozak reaches over and gropes for his bedmate. He doesn't really expect anyone to be there, and he isn't surprised when he comes up empty-handed yet again. That's been the trend for weeks now, and the redhead has gotten used to it. So instead of pouting or sulking, he simply rolls over into Conrad's spot, turning his back to that infernal sun, and gets comfy again. He stretches out his long legs, making a sleepy, content sound in his throat as his new silk sleep pants rub deliciously against his skin. The one good thing about Conrad's early rising is that now, Yozak gets this wonderful bed all to himself; he can spread out, hog the blankets, and kick his feet around as much as his heart desires.

In an hour or so, Conrad will come back and wake him up, and Yozak will make some stupid joke as he plods into the bathroom, and then the day will begin in earnest. For now, though, he's going to enjoy some more much-needed rest. Yozak sinks into a down pillow that smells faintly of Conrad's hair and drifts off again with a happy sigh.
