Signed up at Retro Fitness today. While I'm not one for deliberation over something like this to begin with, it was still rather impulsive. Which doesn't bode well for my determination. It was more... retro... than I knew. As in, 80's themed. Luckily, it's tough to notice, if not for the 80's movies playing in their little exercise theatre. ...Because I fucking hate the 80's.
I'll feel better after my first session, and can gauge how comfortable I'll feel working out there. At Gold's, it was hit-and-miss -- the less people there, the better I felt about parading myself as being almost comically out of place. I know what I'm doing, but my body seems determined to fit a stereotype.
Still being harassed by bills from the hospital, from when I sliced my head open at work. Because it was a worksite injury, work is supposed to pay them. However the process is... less than intuitive, and after dialing 18 1-800 numbers over the process of an hour, I got nothing done, as I got sent back and forth between Best Buy and their payment company as many times. I'm pretty sure it's a matter of luck to actually do it properly, at this point, as I've tried every approach possible, with no success. I'll have to call in a mulligan.
The 'Evangelion 2.0 You can (not) advance' movie was really good. The added character was very Mary Sue-ish -- aside from having no evident flaws, compared to the shopping list of psychosesis the regular cast had, she seemed to be hammed in edgewise. But other than that, it certainly achieves the goal of making the story easier to understand. ...At the cost of changing it all sorts of ways. If that makes any sense.
