So it's been a pretty good week so far! Geoff came up and hung out for a couple days, and even though it was rainy, we still had fun. I'm glad I brought my Wii. We broke it in with Mario Party 8. ^^ But anyway, Christa already talked about the first few days. I just wanted to update about today, mostly. ^^ It got a bit sunny yesterday and today, although it got cloudy in between. So today, we decided to go Whale Watching. At first, we weren't sure we were gonna go. It was a little drizzly and we didn't know when the times were, but we got into Provincetown a half hour before it began loading, so we decided to go. And it was awesome. My dad liked to make it a tradition to go whale watching when I was younger, so I've been on 4 or 5 of them. And this was definitely the best. Our first whale was found really early into the trip, and we got so close. And it did a bunch of body and tail breaches too. And waved its flippers a lot too! It was so cute! ^_^ And I was like, well, that will probably be the best whale of our trip.
But I was wrong! :D Our next whale came even closer. It was literally right next to the boat. Like, 8 feet away from the boat. And it was really cute too! It kept poking its face out of the water, like it was inspecting us. And everyone was on one side of the boat. It was so far over. Christa kept making cracks about how we were going to capsize PotC3 style. ^^
And then we saw two Finback whales together. They're really elusive, but once again, we got up really close to them and saw a bit of their faces. Not as close as the second one, but still really great! The first 2 were Humpback whales. We also saw a bunch more from a little farther away, but these were the highlights. I want to mention we saw two Minke whales also. Because I like the word (pronounced Minky). :3 It got really sunny halfway through the trip, which was really nice too! We were really tired after the trip, though, so we decided to go to the Pirate Museum tomorrow. Oddly enough, I've never been there! So I hope it'll be cool. ^^
So if you're ever in Cape Cod, I'd highly recommend a Whale Watch. ^_^ That is all.
Right now, we're watching the Women's College Softball Championship. It's the Tennessee Vols versus the Arizona Wildcats. It's pretty intense. Christa and I are totally getting into it. It would be the Vols' first championship, so we're rooting for them. Yay underdogs! Even though Christa says she normally wouldn't root for them, considering they're UConn's women's basketball's rivals. I'd probably root for them anyway, considering I always root for my friends' teams. *coughLoricough* ^___^
