I'm getting exhausted and sad to see fight after fight every time there is a new spoiler or news.
We might be having different opinions on what happened with Cote. But the thing is... these are all opinions. Whether you think this is CBS's mess and you decided to participate on Operation BBC or you think that this is purely Cote's decision. These are all opinions formed after we read or watch news and interviews.
And you can't force people to think like you do. And to jump at other people throat who have different opinion every time another news comes out is just sad.
Why did I say that they are just opinions? There are news, statements, and all. Some of you might think that.
Because to this day we only get things from one side, and we might never hear the other side's version. And we might also never know the situation and condition that lead to the final decision.
And because we have to take every journalism, especially online journalism, not to mention regarding entertainment industry, with a grain of salt.
As much as we wanted to believe that media is neutral, there are politics going on there too. And even when they write things without favoring one side, media are allowed to show only what they wanted to show. This is called media framing. And the example is right there where there is an NCIS fan who wrote something and one media, namely Huffington Post, published it, while the other media quoted some of it and called the writer crazy.
So yes, this is all the matter of an opinion. But of course that doesn't mean we are allowed to send hate or harass people. What I'm trying to say is do not jump into conclusion, do not jump into each other throat who have different opinion or lump them into the category of "fans" that send hate and harass people just because of one news, just because of one tweet that we don't even know the context of.
Aren't we all family here? Who share the same love to the show? Why is it so easy to break us apart?
