Our first interclass tournament for my PE class this semester, Touch Rugby ended hours ago, and I've gotten most of my energy back after a pretty hearty dinner (I love pork steak sososososo much), but, wew, what a big day.
Here are a few gifs to help illustrate how I was during the tournament:
before the tournament
watching other people's games: cheering classmates on
watching other people's games: yelling at players
game face
after losing two games: what i wanted to do
after losing two games: what i ended up doing
watching the rest of the games
when they gave me a medal for being one of the "mythical six"
Basically, it was pretty eventful, even though it took us forever to get started because everyone else was focused on the varsity teams playing. So many foreign players! The weather was great, too: cloudy, but not rainy.
Lost both games against the teams of the 10-12 classes. Forgive me for sullying your name, Slytherin! I swear they were tough as heck, although I got pissed off sometimes because there were touches that the referee missed and those damn off-side ones alsfjaljfalsjfopsjfpo
Screamed my lungs out during most of the watching time. My voice is probably going to go again tomorrow, which isn't very good for my singing aspirations.
Had a great time bonding with classmates and college mates! One particularly hilarious moment that I still chuckle at is when Dom, a fellow Psych major, finally got onto the field after an entire game's worth of us screaming for substitution. Just in time for the referee to declare full-time. He had some great shots of him running onto the field and shaking hands with the other team, though, haha!
There'll be a class on Monday. A lot of my classmates aren't too pleased, but I'm looking forward to it. I need to polish off our techniques and get into training for the next interclass tournament, which will be infinitely tougher since the teams will be mixed then.
Intense training, ho!
