As I was staring at the sky while going through a Chocolate Cheesecake Blizzard earlier (read: spacing out), I remembered the little glowing toys we bought during the Lantern Parade that spun as you propelled them into the air. My most effective flings were the ones that I held back and waited for a while before releasing.
And then I remembered Orion.
No, Elef. His super long attack name wasn't completely for the lulz (partly, on the other hand, I will not contest). As comical-sounding as it is, Orion understood the merit of waiting before attacking. He knew the power of potential energy, of letting the strength build up in the arrow before releasing it. Coupled with the power of stardust, Orion was actually powering up for a deadly attack the entire time he was saying that attack name.
Orion, I already loved you before this and I will forever mourn that you did not get more screentime and I never got to squee over the adult you because of ridiculous time limitations, but I think my love for you has grown exponentially because of this.
This probably also answers why animanga characters like yelling out their attack names before they actually unleash them.
I should be using this thinking time to study for my Wednesday exam, yes.

P.S. On more RL-relevant news, I told Mommy about my trouble with Math. She took it much much much better than I expected, and I'm incredibly relieved to have said it. ;__________;
