I agree and I'm sure, the reason is positive, indeed. And as my mum always says, no matter if the current situation is good or bad: "You don't know what it's good for." To me nearly everything in life has a positive side and one of my ambitions is it, to find those sides.

Ah, so in Germany, you address your mothers as "mum" just like the British? That's really cool if you do. I agree with you that everything in life has a positive side. It took me a long time to see it that way, considering my mind was full of negativity after my father died. But my mom really helped me see a more positive side of things. My father was a wonderful man and I feel truly lucky to have had him as a father. <3 His teachings, and his death, has made me a stronger person with a much more profound outlook on life in general. I'm very grateful.

LMAO! I know, right? I was just thinking that as I put up my Ludwig icon. XD It's funny, cuz even though I'd never pair them up, I still see the appeal. It's almost like the same situation as UKUS. My mother is a very strong person, indeed. She's been through a lot in her life and has come out positive and amazing. I truly look up to her. Oh I don't mind talking about my father. ^_^ It's been 15 years since he passed away. I've completely healed from his death. I love talking about him. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. ^^ He was truly a wonderful man.

LMAO! That's alright. To each his own. ^^ I understand getting annoyed with something because of its popularity. The way I am, if I like something, I don't care how popular or unpopular it is with others. The only time I'm annoyed with a particular fandom is when rabid fangirls/boys go ape shit over it. It's great to love characters, but when reality is skewed, that's when things get serious.
Is there anything about USUK that you don't like in particular? I just like understanding peoples' points of view. I find that a lot of people generally don't like a particular pairing only because of how popular it is, and not because the couple itself is not to their liking.

What I don't like is USUK-> Uke!UK all the time!
To me Arthur is not like that! It's just too much everywhere. I couldn't care less about that pairing, but since Arthur is my fav character right after Prussia this ukeukeuke talk pisses me off. Like I told you at the rp before: Uke and seme hardly exist. Sometimes one tends to be more uke, the next time he's seme. To me those nation-tans are of average character, there's no hardcore BDSM 247 bottom amongst them. And the more I get to see it, the more it gets on my nerves. *steams*

Aaahhh, I see. Now I understand your frustrations. I agree that Arthur is uke in way too many fan made forms of art. To me, as you said, both can be both dominant and submissive at any given time. Like I said, equality is important to me. I'm a huge USUK&UKUS supporter, because they both can please each other in many different ways. You'd be surprised how many people agree with our view. There are A LOT of people who like Arthur topping, because he was a strong empire at one point and he sure as hell could show Alfred a thing or two about sex. ;) And Alfred has every right to dominate sometimes, as well, because he, too, is a very powerful nation who overtook Arthur's empire. All in all, in my eyes, their relationship is based on true love. They would only show their vulnerable sides to each other, because of the trust and devotion they share. In bed, Arthur would let Alfred dominate because that shows trust and love. The same goes for Alfred allowing Arthur to make love to him
