email Manaegment

Jul 16, 2009 11:50

We got an email from our HOA contact regarding our builder (who filed bankruptcy) opening up as a new builder and our half finished neighborhood.

The background is that one neighbor called the General Contractor regarding warranty issues, and was told "I don't work for Wall, I work for Endeavor".  We're supposed to have one year warranties...  still waiting on some issues ourselves.  I guess time will tell!

But that's not what this post is about.  This post is about spell check.  I must be on the QA ball today, because in reading this, I just wanted to grab a red pen.  I'm not even getting into the grammar or readability issues!    How many spelling errors can you find?  (I've taken out some information so as to not broadcast the name of the HOA or her personal information.)

SUBJECT:  Amanda H, X Manaegment

I have been keeping up with the current emails regarding the state of the community. I would like to take a few moments to address any concerns. First, I must state that X Management is a completely different entity from that of the Developers and Builders.  We are only privy to the same information you are privy to and are learning of Wall Homes and Endevour Wall Homes through the same news outlets that are currently available to you. X Management is here to represent the Community and its homeowners, that means you. I am here to answer any questions and concerns at any time. I would love the opportunity speak with each of you and promise to keep you aprised of any information that comes my way. In regard to the landscpaping, I too am working with the city. We send out a list of the open lots that need to be addressed and and are working to get this resloved as quickly as possible. The city has a specific timeline with which they must work, however they are able to address each of these isues. Please remain patient. We know how frustrating this is. Again, please do not hesitate to contact me. Let me assure you that I am here as a resource to you and will be happy to assist in any way possible.

This email, along with someone from work who comes across as angry in her emails, makes me believe that someone needs to create a course on effective email writing.  :o)
