The interview went surprisingly well today. I arrived at the office ahead of schedule because it took me less time than I imagined to get there. I tried to drive around and familiarize myself with the area, but I was low on gas and couldn't keep going without wasting it. The interviewer ended up being free and we went ahead with the interview. She was very easy-going and made me feel very relaxed. Everything went smoothly and I'm confident I did a good job. She even told me at the end that I was amazing. What a wonderful thing to hear. But she couldn't promise me anything because she had two other people to interview. I have a really good feel about this, but you never know. Someone more qualified could come along and take it from under me. We'll see.
The other dilemma I have is how to tell my current job that I might be leaving? I'm never good at this. What do I say? My hours are shit there and this week's pay check isn't going to leave me any money to even buy a large fry from McDonalds. I have to pay my car this week and I only got three days of work last week. They are both very reasonable people and I'm sure they will understand that I can't continue to work there forever. I have a college degree for gods sake. I shouldn't be working part-time and making pennies every week. I deserve more than that. I just don't know how to bring it up that I might be leaving. Do I tell them once I get the job? But if so, what if SBC wants me to start work the following week? That's not much of a notice to my current job. Or do I tell them that I am going on interviews and possibly looking for other work?
I only got two hours of sleep today and I had to wake up around 8am to get ready for this job interview. I was done with it by 10:30am. Afterwards I got my oil changed on my car and gassed up my car with $10. Let me tell you, $10 hardly made a dent in my gas tank. I finally headed off to work around noon. After work, I stopped by my friends house for a BBQ. I didn't feel like going originally, but I was so hungry that it didn't matter. We had planned on going for another walk at the park. This time Aileen bought her twins and they rode their bikes with us. My legs are feeling tighter already. We plan on doing this at least 3 times a week. Sunday, Tuesday and possibly Thursday or Friday. We are taking it slow for now. But the goal is to start jogging. You lose a ton of weight by jogging.
