Is it possible for your voice to change when you are female and in your mid-20s (gag!)? I lost my voice sometime in early December. It came back by Christmas time, but it didn't seem like it came back entirely. Whenever I'm out, I notice my voice is sore at the end of the night. Mostly because of shouting over loud music. That's understandable. But my voice is permanently raspy. I don't smoke and yes I'm around people who do. But not 24/7. My friend says its because of the bars our voice is like this. I'm sure its a good part of it, but when I was at ISU, I was around smokers and bars much more often then this and my voice never went out ever. It's so weird. My boss thinks I still have a sore throat, but it's not that either. So weird that you can suddenly sound like a smoker, even though you don't smoke. I obviously noticed the difference, but I wonder if other people notice too. I can't tell if I sound like I'm only 12 years old on the phone anymore. And I hope this doesn't effect how old I look.
Getting older sucks! I actually have to start taking care of myself so I don't look haggard at 28.
