I don't even know what to say about "S is for Winchester" - you've mentioned it so much that I'm eager for it, but I'm also totally intimiated that it's going to be so long.

Good luck - I hope you are enjoying the writing process for what it's worth.

You're intimidated? *takes scared look at fic* Think how I feel! No, it's fine, it is one of those muse things, sometimes you can't predict when an idea will really grab you. Yours just sent feelers out all over the place. I'm loving writing it (and if you're a graphics slut like me it has *counts quickly on fingers* ooh 20! embedded graphics. Hee!) Should be done in a week hopefully.

I do know how you feel - long fics CAN be intimidating as a writer - so many more places for things to go off-course.

But I only say I'm intimidated because, usually of late, I haven't been up to reading anything long, anything more than one part and a short part at that. But, of course, I HAVE to read this one - because it's my prompt. And I don't want to let you down by not reading it after all your hard work!!!

I'm very glad to know that you are enjoying the writing process, though - that's very important, at least in my book. (no pun intended)

I hear you, I have so much good fic backlogged to read when I have time. It is finding the time that's the problem. This whole work thing just keeps getting in the way! And you don't have<\i> to read it you know if it ends up huge. You can if you like just keep feeding me prompts (or puns) and watch me trying to keep the fic wheel spinning frantically. Heh!

Oops screwed up the italics. Need coffee, but no time, I have to go to work :(

Well, I'm certainly more than happy to keep feeding you prompts, for as long as you're willing to take them!! I mean, if I'm not going to write them - which I'm not - then it's nice to know they're going to a good home!

As for your story, I DO want to read it. It's just hard to find the time/motivation to sit and read anything long these days. But, we'll see. The rest of this month could be hit and miss with my time and moods - big, unwanted change is being forced down my throat and it hurts to swollow (at least, that's what Dean said). ;-)

Prompts are always welcome. I shall clear out an entire shelf ready for them. As for the fic, the good news is that rather than being one long fic, it is a series of little stories, so you could just possibly fit the odd one in every few days over coffee and a cookie without it hurting too much.

Sorry you're having one of those months. Hope it turns out for the best.

As for Dean, don't listen to the boy, he's just a slut! *Whacks him with Missouri's wooden spoon for talking dirty* Goodness, the thing's he's been thinking!

I'll bookmark your journal and let you know!

I'm sure I was thinking about that little shadow Dean has under his right eye - like, maybe, long ago, he got cut with a sharp knife or scalpel; I've got a similar one above my left eyebrow, though it's very faint now. I'm sure it's just how the light strikes his face sometimes, but it looks like it could be a scar - I rather like to think that it IS, because it makes Dean more interesting ( ... )

Ooh awesome userpic! And by some strange coincidence of fate strangely one of those images is the final graphic in your S story! Heh. Hmm Dean's eye. I shall force myself to hit pause and zoom tonight to check this little shadow out. So you have one too? There could be a cosmic connection then ( ... )

I've had a word to Sam and Dean and they say they'll be over first thing in the morning to help you pack and move. Sam says they're good at it. Dean just wants to make sure that you have enough bacon and eggs and coffee to make him breakfast when they get there! But you know, he might be worth making breakfast for *G*I would gladly make them breakfast - twice on Sunday! - if they would show up and help me pack/move. Though, I'm sure Sam would frown at how few books I have, while Dean would be going through things saying, "You don't need this? Do you? Naw," and tossing it out. Between the Impala and my Jeep I KNOW we could get ALL my stuff moved in just a couple of trips - then Dean could steal a u-haul or something for a few hours to move the heavy stuff, the futons, the tv and stand, the book cases, the dresser, the computer and table.... Yeah, that would mostly be it. They'd be A HUGE help - thanks for suggesting them. I really don't have anyone else in mind, though I'm sure that will need to be rectified VERY soon, ( ... )

A jeep? That is so cool! (I'm having flashbacks to the set of Roswell with everyone hooning around on one of those). You know the boys so well though. But Sam would have pity on you and leave you a list of books to buy. Dean might slip you a fake credit card to buy them *G*

You could change the word on the user pic each week (Dean's in hell a long time, he might have a lot to scream)

To perk you up I've just sent you a message with the first section (A) of S is for Winchester. No graphics (just imagine a picture of a juicy green apple). The whole story - well, you'll have to wait for that!

My jeep is awesome (very dirty at the moment, though - if John Winchester were my dad, he'd be very disappointed in me ( ... )

Ah S2 of DA - that would be the season with that great JA ep where he plays the piano and falls for the girl? And SPN S3 - hee we have exactly the same list! I'm haunting the discount bins at the local DVD store in the hope that both eventually hit, but I think I'm going to have to pay full price for SPN. Still it will be worth it.

The A story is short, so you're safe. Blink and it's done. Enjoy (it's one of the cute ones, not the angsty bits)

Thanks for the URL. I've bookmarked it.

DA if it had been Alec's series I would have loved it! That was my favourite ep ever in the show.

You could always ask for an early birthday present ;)

Glad you liked the story. Told you it was short, all the segments are pretty much like that. It is just the cumulative total that's causing the giant word count.

Dean was feeding Sammy for the first two reasons, Sammy was hungry. Dean had found the empty bottle in the car, then found out there was no more formula left anywhere. Part of John's freak out is because he realised he forgot to stock up with everything else on his mind and is having a bad father guilt moment. I love the idea of John struggling to cope with doing everything on his own, and hunting. It's a miracle all three of them survived those years. As for the rest of the story, I'll do my best to get it done within the week.
