My jeep is awesome (very dirty at the moment, though - if John Winchester were my dad, he'd be very disappointed in me).
It's not like the old-style Army jeeps, though, like they drove on Roswell. It's a newer one, but newer as in awesome, rather than NEW as in so much plastic that it looks like a kid's Tonka Truck.
As for the books, it's not that I don't read them (well, I'm not as voracious as I once was, but I do read) - it's just that I don't tend to KEEP books once I've read them, not unless I LOVED them or feel like I'll need them for some reference later. But, hopefully that would lead to a coveration with Sam about what we each have and haven't read - that could be nice.
And Dean, well, hell, he could loan me his credit card anytime! I'm in want of the S2 Dark Angel DVDS, and the upcoming S3 SPN. Both worthy uses of his card, I think.
I'm off to look at the message you left. I'm tempted to waste the paper and print it out - so I can read it at work. Though, well see how long it is - how much paper it will require. Also, I'm not sure how busy I'll be today, but at the very least, I'll read it tonight when I get home.
Ah S2 of DA - that would be the season with that great JA ep where he plays the piano and falls for the girl? And SPN S3 - hee we have exactly the same list! I'm haunting the discount bins at the local DVD store in the hope that both eventually hit, but I think I'm going to have to pay full price for SPN. Still it will be worth it.
The A story is short, so you're safe. Blink and it's done. Enjoy (it's one of the cute ones, not the angsty bits)
They have DA with the imcomparable Mr. J.R. Ackles! I want, but I'm moving - so not sure I should spend the money, or where I ought to have it delivered. So, for now, I have Netflix.
You're right about that one ep of his with the piano - he was awesome! Really fell hard for Alec in that episode - as we were meant to, though it made it difficult to see him as second fiddle to Max (and Logan) after that.
And, yeah, SPN - my mom would get it for me for my birthday if I asked, but I don't want to wait until the end of November for it. Still, if the move proves very expensive, I may be on too tight of a budget to afford it myself.
I read the A Story!! Cute. And, you're right, VERY short.
So, little Dean was chewing up an apple and was going to spit it into Sammy's mouth? Because Sammy was hungry? Because ... he'd already drank his bottle or because the bottle was empty and Dean didn't know how to fill it up?
Dad was great! Loved how he so needed Mary in that moment, but over came it to deal with the kids! And Dean, at the ripe old age of 5 thinking he'd had enough schooling already to teach Sam everything he'd need to know. Like a wee Huck Finn who's found his Tom Sawyer.
Thanks for the preview - you're wicked sweet for doing that for me - I look forward to more.
DA if it had been Alec's series I would have loved it! That was my favourite ep ever in the show.
You could always ask for an early birthday present ;)
Glad you liked the story. Told you it was short, all the segments are pretty much like that. It is just the cumulative total that's causing the giant word count.
Dean was feeding Sammy for the first two reasons, Sammy was hungry. Dean had found the empty bottle in the car, then found out there was no more formula left anywhere. Part of John's freak out is because he realised he forgot to stock up with everything else on his mind and is having a bad father guilt moment. I love the idea of John struggling to cope with doing everything on his own, and hunting. It's a miracle all three of them survived those years. As for the rest of the story, I'll do my best to get it done within the week.
