I'll read through as many of the laws as I can, make sure what we're doing is actually legal. Because if they arrest us all after we've only been there two minutes it won't help anyone. But I don't think they have any right to remove peaceful demonstrators... I'll look into it.

Oh Harry, I missed you so bloody much... I'm just so glad to have you home, you can't imagine.

You don't want to live at The Phoenix either......?

Look, I was thinking... Maybe we should just sell The Phoenix? I mean... It's bloody huge and I can't keep living there on my own. It can be damn creepy at night, all those empty rooms... What I really mean to say, is will you two hurry home?Drop and Order of Merlin... Interesting. Officially? It's never been done and I don't think there are any rules about it. But if you were to publicly reject it, what are The Ministry going to say? "Oh sorry, we gave it to Harry Potter and he's got to keep it." Sure you may still officially have it against your name, but publicly denouncing it would be the best way I can think ( ... )

Thanks, Hermione. That'd definitely help.

I missed you a lot too. As for selling the house, er...I don't know if I'm ready to do that. I might need to be closer to Hogwarts soon...I've decided to go for Auror training, and I'm trying to make arrangements for lessons for the N.E.W.T.s I missed. But that probably won't be for another month or two, so if you're lonely there, I could put you up in the flat, if you like? It's kind of small but I think there would be room enough for both of us.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I feel like a hypocrite hanging onto it, but I guess I just have to find the right moment to denounce it.

Harry, I'm so bloody proud of you. Plus you know I'll be around to help you, right? I'd make a wonderful tutor and I work for excellent rates, a few cups of tea and several hugs should cover it.

I'm so glad to see you know what you want to do with your life. If only I was so lucky...

I wouldn't want to impose on your space. It's just... Hard to be here alone so much. But don't you worry about me. Ron's been around more often but... If you wanted the company... Well I wouldn't say no.

You're not a hypocrite. You didn't ask for it, for any of it. I'd have preferred an Order of Merlin compared to the blood money the ministry gave me. Sorry your parents were slaughtered, have some gold.

Would you really? That would be brilliant! I may be able to get private lessons from Snape in Potions (thrilling, I know) and, well, I haven't talked to the other professors yet, but I'm sure I'll need all the help I can get. Thank you, Hermione.

And of course I want your company. Really, you're welcome.

That's the Ministry for you. They only apologize in the way most convenient to them.

Guilt finally gotten the better of you, has it? I've neither time nor interest in helping you assuage it. If I agree to this course of action, you will work, boy, as you never could be arsed to work when you were a student in my classes while at school.

I have no need for your gold. As you may well imagine, between the potions I brew for my household, Ginevra's clients, my business venture with Mr Finnigan as well as personal business and research matters, my time is exceedingly precious. If you wish to stake claim to a not-insignificant portion of that time, you will pay in labour. If you agree to my terms, and if you progress in capability, you will aid me in such aspects of brewing as fits your ability. Most likely you will feel as though you are back in detention with the amount of ingredient-preparation which is the most time-consuming portion of potions brewing ( ... )

I'm willing to exchange labour for lessons, as long as we're operating on some sort of schedule. In other words, I'm not going to be your potions slave.

I'll only say this once--I intend to work as hard as necessary to become an Auror. Either you'll accept that or you won't, in which case I'll find other accomodations.

And I have one more term of my own. Since you insist on respectful address, I insist on the courtesy returned--don't insult me or my father during lessons, and don't call me "boy." Harry or Potter is fine by me, take your pick.

I'll let you know when I locate your book.

Acceptable. For every hour spent in lessons and therefore unable to work on my own projects, you will provide ninety minutes of work, as you will be unable to perform the more complex brewing. The preparatory work requires less skill but more time.

Your intentions make no difference. The result is what matters. Should you study with me, you will pass your N.E.W.T. with sufficient marks to continue into Auror training. I will not consider our lessons complete until I am confident this is the case. 'Other accommodations' will not likely make that claim.

Very well. Refrain from idiocy, careless mistakes, and common thievery of my stores while under my instruction, and I will not be tempted to point out your deficiencies.

I wait with baited breath.

No. For every hour spent in lessons, I will provide an hour of work in return. That's a fair exchange rate. You said yourself that my labour will progress into more complicated territory as my work in lessons progresses. Will you have me doing ninety minutes of complex brewing for every hour of lessons? What will be your excuse then?

I won't deny my past carelessness, but I believe calling me an idiot falls under insulting me, and as long as we're being courteous, Sir, I'm not going to sit by while you make baseless accusations of thievery.

Sounds brilliant! The idea, I mean....though I don't know if those Ministry bastards will even blink...

I've been seething about it since that day. I just...haven't really known what to do. It's more frustrating than you realize- or maybe not...you probably realize exactly how frustrating it is more than any of us. But, yes. Definitely count me in!

As for you being a git- yeah. I've known you were for half our lives now. No need to apologize for it, mate, you know I love you, anyway.

Really..it's good to have you back.

Well, it might not get them trembling or anything, but at least it's a start.

And thanks, mate, you're so generous.
