I haven't updated Livejournal with an actual post (other than a menu or pic) in years. I started my LJ 20 years ago, whilst in Tennessee. Now I'm in California and all I want to do is go back to Tennessee. The universe cackles.
I haven't updated anywhere else about anything other than grief. Nobody gives a shit in Livejournal about grief. For a refresh:

Prioritising: Cleaning & organising. I've death-decluttered every closet, drawer, and box. I've deep-cleaned almost every part of the flat. Before PT died I took it to the car wash and washed it by hand, then hoovered it out and wiped down the windows and consoles. Like a mortician preparing a corpse for a viewing.
Listening to: "Challengers" score by Trent Reznor. After we saw the film, we drove up and down Mulholland whilst listening to it. It's the perfect soundtrack for zipping around in my MX-5.
Watching: Need to finish up the current season of "American Horror Story" [Delicate].
Reading: I bought "The Shards" by Bret Easton Ellis at Skylight Books last week.
Eating: Last night was meatloaf, my own recipe: I sautéed sweet onion, chopped broccoli, & corn in butter for a couple minutes, then added to a pack of ground turkey with Old Bay seasoning, parsley, and lemon juice. Cooked as usual in a loaf pan at 375; added shrimp cocktail sauce after 20 minutes and cooked another 10. Would have been perfect served with cheddar bay biscuits.
Obsessing over: Tennis. Can't wait to get back on the court soon.
