so today I go to the doctor to complain about the horrible sore throat that has kept me from eating, sleeping and swallowing. After examining me he says, well it could be strep throat. This little is really casual and anything but decisive. Then he gives me a prescription for some antibiotics and steroids and says, "well, if it doesn't clear up in a few days, then it might be mono and you should come back in to have it tested." Then he sends me on my way.
Ok, if it he though it was strep, why didn't he give me a shot or something or test for it or something? I'm so irritated, when I got to work I told my boss and a few of the women I work with what had happened and they backed three feet away from me and told me to get the hell out of the office. I had no idea strep was such a big deal, but I have since been set straight. Too bad my doctor didn't say something like "well, you could have a very contagious illness and should probably not go to work." Nope, he gave me some med and sent me on my way. I wish he would have just given me the damn test so i wouldn't be getting cabin fever after sitting in bed for most of the day. I have really felt like shit, so it is nice to get some rest, but I really need the money for my upcoming vacation.

I also took a little internet spelling test earlier and got half of the answers wrong. I know I am a poor speller, but that is just ridiculous.
