Spent a little time today down by the fishing pier and the adjacent industrial district, playing with the camera and enjoying the day. Chatted for a while with a couple of regulars on the pier. As of next week the Olive Way exit off I-5, the one I take to get home from work and other points south, will be closed for a year or so as part of the new light rail construction

Three minutes into the hour the local news is doing an interview with a nautical archeologist.

We had an earthquake in the wee hours of the morning and I slept through it.
Obviously it wasn't a very big one. A 4.5-er if that figure actually means anything to anyone.

Crap, I hate missing cool things like that.

Very cool slender, crescent, Maiden moon hanging near (from my perspective at least) the Space Needle right now.

Seattle is getting it's own "Big Dig".

I look forward to seeing the completed project somewhere around thugg1ns' 85th birthday.

I haven't even bothered to look at the line-up for Bumbershoot yet. I've been thinking in terms of going for months but I have no idea who is playing Saturday, which is the only day I'm off this weekend, and I have made no efforts to find out if any friends are planning on attending as well so that we might hang together ( Read more... )
