Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! As always, I kind of squealed when I saw you updated and thankfully I was already kind of prepared for how awful this one would feel for Blaine. Warning, I am now going to wordvomit all of my thoughts and feelings, ok? And also probably come to conclusions that are completely wrong, just because I can :D
( ... )
Lexie's comment reminded me, in my wordvomit, i completely forgot to mention how touching I found Blaine's dad's scene. It was really nice, kudos for a moving scene that wasn't over the top in any way. "Blaine," he said solemnly, his hand stilling in Blaine's hair, "You were always the son that I wanted. I'm sorry that, somewhere along the line, I stopped being the father that you deserved." I legit teared up a little at this line.
I am the worst person ever for responding to this so late (real life has been a fanged, ferocious beast the last two weeks), especially because absolutely everything that you wrote was so incredibly, amazingly, spot on. Seriously--do you want to take over for a while, because I'm amazed at how perfect all of your conclusions sync up with what I've got spinning around in my head for this story.
This chapter is perfect and I have all the Blaine feels. ALL OF THEM.
I absolutely loved the conversation between Blaine and his father and it shows just how much miscommunication can hurt.
Also, Dalton will be so good for Blaine. It just became more and more apparent that he wasn't really happy at Carmel (I found myself wondering what would actually happen if they'd asked Blaine to go and egg Rachel) and Dalton is just such a good fit for him.
All the dads! It's father appreciation week over here ;)
Speaking of lack of communication, this is horrendously late, and I apologize D: But I adore loud and embarrassing noise, particularly when it has to do with ordering boys who refuse to adhere to common sense principles when they should just be kissing already what is wrong with you you dumb *dumb* teenagers >:(
oh man I want to leave you a really awesome comment, but dfkljdskj I have exams in less than a week (I HATE IB, HOW DID YOU SURVIVE?!?!?!?!) so I'll leave you with this: this update tore my heart out just as much as this week's Glee episode, except for the part where this is written better (imo, and by which I mean that there's been the appropriate amount of build up), unoffensive (as far as I can tell :D), and focused entirely on characters that I actually care about (by which I mean NO TEEN JESUS YAY!).
I PROMISE YOU THIS IS NOT A BACKHANDED COMPLIMENT. THIS GAVE ME ALL THE FEELS. SAD ONES, BUT I TRUST YOU TO MAKE THIS HAPPY AGAIN :)
(obligatory comment on the accuracy and perfection of your "jesse st james jesse st sucks" tag ;))
