I waited until I had all my pictures sorted before I updated, which is why I’ve been missing.
I had a nice time back home, but I felt like the visit was too short - unfortunately I missed my chance to see my nephew. I was supposed to go up on Tuesday evening but I got back from seeing Laura ten minutes later than I said I would, and my family had already left to go see the baby. He was in bed by the time they got back. I was gutted! I always try to see everybody when I’m back, so I felt really bad. I’m going to try and go over for his second birthday in April. Anyway, I got to spend time with the rest of my family and it was great to catch up properly with Laura. She took me to see her family, it was so weird, her brothers and sisters have changed so much.
My check up at the hospital was so-so. She said there were mild changes again, which I don’t like the sound of. They’ll be posting out a letter with results, and I’ll have to go back if they think more treatment is needed. Argh.
My boss is in London today and tomorrow, so I have a couple of days off. I finally got a new mp3 player, my old one broke months ago. These things tend to be a bit faulty. At least I have insurance on the new one. I went to pay rent on Friday... I’m a bit behind, hopefully I’ll get that sorted out within the next couple of weeks.
The air feels good today. Feels like spring.
In Liverpool airport, just about to board the plane.
Boris always looks sad in pictures. It’s weird because he’s actually a pretty happy dog.
Rosie and her oversized ears. Aw.
Cosy, comforting fire.
Me and my mother.
The flowers in the garden aren’t exactly blooming, but I liked this flower basket anyway.
Ruaidhri is camera shy.
But then I persuaded him to show his face.
Garden wall.
My parents (her hair had just been washed, hehe)
I looked at some family pictures from when we were kids - some of them are funny, some are just nice.
I also found this letter that my brother Declan wrote to us when he first moved to England for university. I was about ten at the time, and ever since he went away things haven’t been the same, that closeness was kind of lost (I‘m afraid that‘s happening with me and Ruaidhri). So it was nice to read that letter, he wrote us all a little paragraph each.
Me with Laura’s sister’s dog. I didn’t get any photos of Laura, we were so busy chatting that I didn’t think of it.
My dad made pancakes on Tuesday. It fell to pieces but still tasted nice!
My mother and I took the dogs for a short walk to the end of our road and I got some pictures of the countryside.
And I just wandered round looking at little things in the house just before I left to go back to Liverpool again.
